Q: This weblog is a little strange, what is going on here?
A: Welcome. This isn't really a weblog since I do not write journal/diary here. I create this place mostly to listen to music.
Q: How come the song skips around when I double-click on it and wouldn't play?
A: (1) If you are using dial up you probably won't be able to stream music from here. Try it at school or wherever you can find DSL connection or better. (2) radio.blog works in Windows platform, but I don't know if it's compatible with Mac or Linux.
Q: What kind of music should I expect here?
A: Mostly classical music. I use this term to refer to a musical genre, rather than just music from the Classical period. Most of the songs I have were written during the Romantic period.
Q: I don't understand anything but I think I like that song up there. How can I download it?
A: radio.blog doesn't have download feature. In short, you can't download the songs from this site.
Q: I dug around and found the server that hosts your songs, and with some effords I was able to download that song I like. My only question is the song shows up in some weird .RBS format and wouldn't play in my favorite media player?
A: radio.blog only plays .RBS format. I'm not awared of any other media player that uses this low quality compression scheme.
Q: Why two radios?
A: Songs in the "Frequently Changing Songs" list are updated roughly once a week with new songs. Songs in the "Permanant Songs" list are meant to stay forever. Hence, if there is a song(s) in FCS that you would like to listen again leave a message and I'll move it to PS.
Q: Why not just put up couple hundred songs at once?
A: I tried that before and it didn't work well. Something to do with bandwidth problems. If I put up a lot of songs it'll be impossible to stream them, especially when more than one person try to stream those songs at the same time.
Q: I like the idea, how can I contribute?
A: Send a check to........just kidding. Perhaps put up your own music? The idea is varieties, so all musical genres are welcome.
(And if you do send a check don't send it to "just kidding" because that's not my name, so I won't be able to cash it. /joke)
Q: I'm extremly interested. How can I do this?
A: The radio.blog homepage has a well written FAQ that will show you how to host your music online.
